Ethics: Vegan and cruelty-free
Brand: Votch is an English watch brand that produces cruelty-free and fair trade watches. Laura, before founding the company Votch, was struck by Topical Steroid Withdrawal (a condition that makes your skin fall off). During her recovery, she watched documentaries and educated herself on animal welfare. She quotes: “Seeing the suffering that animals endured simply for fashion, and having felt the pain of losing my own skin, I vowed never to wear the skin of another being again.”
Fair Trade: Votch watches are "Made in China" and they are proud of that. The cruelty-free watches are made in a fair trade factory that they have visited and with which they have good contact.
Environmentally Friendly: Votch’s watches are made from cruelty-free materials. In the beginning, instead of using animal leather, they used plastic and cotton instead. Votch now uses AppleSkin (apple leather) and Piñatex (pineapple leather) which are much more sustainable.
Vegan: All watches are 100% vegan and have the PETA-Approved vegan certification.
