This set of 6 cotton coasters is handwoven on a backstrap loom and adorned with a brocade design by Mayan weavers in the rural areas of Guatemala. These women are members of the Proteje collective.

These fairtrade coasters are available in a variety of designs and colors.

Coasters Care:

• For the 1st. wash: Wash separately with cold water.
• For the 2nd. wash: Hand wash separately in cold water or in washing machine delicate/gentle cycle.
• Don’t use bleach.
• Hang or lay flat until almost dry. tumble dry on-air dry cycle.
• Iron as needed on cotton setting.
• Drying machine: Dry until almost dry, then remove from dryer and smooth flat in order to avoid the need for ironing.
• If needed iron on cotton setting.

Environmentally Friendly: For the wool collection Quetzal Artisan uses materials such as bamboo, alpaca wool, and organic cotton, which are spun in the Andes mountains of South America. For the Guatemalan collection, they only use natural materials such as cotton and viscose, and they paint by hand using natural paint products such as tree bark and flowers.
