Brand: Boob Design

The idea of Boob was born in 1999, on a cold autumn day. The founder of the brand, Mia Seipel, was watching her sister breastfeed her baby with a bare waist with the cold autumn wind around them. This is when she realized the mothers deserve better gear for the nursing period of motherhood. The first collection of Boob, was a nursing collection that solved this problem and became a favourite among mothers all over the world. Now, Boob has expanded her collection to make clothing for all stages of motherhood. All the clothing is made with care for people and planet.

Fair trade: Boob cares a lot about ethical production and transparency. On their website you can find all the factories they work with, and the certificates these factories have. Most of the factories are GOTS or SA8000 certified which ensures fair working conditions. They produce in Lithuania, Turkey, Italy, Portugal, India, and Morocco, and visit the factories four times a year.

Environmentally friendly: Boob only works with sustainable or at least more sustainable materials. They use GOTS certified organic cotton and wool, recycled polyamide and polyester, and Modal and Lyocell from the company Lenzing (this ensures sustainable production of these materials). Most of the dyes are also GOTS certified, and since many of the factories are certified, they are following high sustainable standards.

Animal welfare: Boob does use wool for some pieces, and is therefore not a vegan brand. The wool is certified organic and mulesing-free.
