Having been deeply moved by the Animal Rights documentary "Earthlings" and the extreme cruelty behind the leather industry, cruelty-free brand Hurtig Lane was born in 2016 by Cerian and Michael in Barcelona. They believe that for products to be truly cruelty free the entire process must be ethical; from design, materials and creation. What makes this collection special is that it is accessible for everyone thanks to the affordable prices. All vegan watches are made with a stainless steel back and case, with no alloys (so they won’t bubble, rust or lose colour); using IP plating which is the method used to integrate colour into the steel so it doesn’t flake or fade. They have several watch collections for men and women, which include metallic, rubber and fabric straps, as well as vegan leather
Ethically produced: All of their vegan watches are designed in Spain before the components are carefully made in China and finally assembled by them in Spain. Their team in China are female-led, with excellent working conditions, salary and holidays. They truly care about women's rights in the workplace, offering above and beyond maternity leave and promotion opportunities.
Eco-friendly: Unlike other high-quality watches, their vegan leather is free from toxic PVC but made from cotton-woven fibre with recycled PU.
Vegan: all watches are fully vegan, one of the most important pillars from Hurtig Lane.
