Short description

PICK & MIX - Any 3 for £25PACK CONTENTS: 1x Fabric mask + 2x PM2.5 disposable insert filters

Cut from waste fabric from our SOS collaboration range. These reusable Linen / Viscose blend fabric face masks have adjustable elastic ear loops for comfort and are supplied with 2x PM2.5 disposable respiratory filters that insert to a bamboo jersey pocket on the inside.

Replacement filter inserts can be bought from various online retailers. Be sure to search for "pm2.5 disposable filters"

Alternatively several studies suggest making reusable ones from a high count, tightly woven cotton fabric folded a couple of times to be equally effective. Do not use loose knit or jersey.

Please note these masks are cut from waste fabric so each one is a unique design - see images for examples of pattern placement variation.

  • Outer: 55% Organic Linen / 45% Viscose
  • Lining: 95% Bamboo / 5% Spandex
  • Insert: KN95 grade non-woven respiratory filter
  • 30º Eco Machine Wash (reusable mask)
  • Vegan

This print is inspired by our work with the Sumatran Orangutan Society through the 1% for the planet scheme, where we donate 1% of all our profits in order to support the charity in its mission to restore natural rainforests and ecosystems.

About the brand

Komodo is one of the pioneers in sustainable fashion. What started as an epic travelogue across Asia in 1988 has now grown into an eclectic mix of Eastern and Western designs that can be seen at the fashion shows in London, Paris, Florence and Tokyo. It is very important to Komodo that their materials are sustainable and that their employees are treated well.

As Joe Komodo himself said:
"It's a privilege of our civilization to dress up in comfort and style, but it's also the responsibility of today's fashion designers to make that style fairly and sustainable for those who work on it - otherwise, you can only pretend it's cool!"

Fair Trade: Komodo produces under fair working conditions in Nepal, China, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, India and Turkey. Several factories are GOTS certified, which guarantees organic materials and fair production.

Environmentally friendly: the clothing is made from GOTS certified organic cotton, hemp, linen, modal, Tencel, Cupro, recycled PET, upcycled rubber, wool and corozo (for the buttons). These are natural, organic and innovative materials. The Merino wool (which is only used in the winter collections) is certified and comes from a non-mulesing source. The packaging material is made from recycled paper, vegetable compostable foil and paper tape.

Good cause: Komodo supports several charities in the countries where they produce, such as the Sumatran Orangutan Society, Tibet Relief Fund and Sunrise Orphanage Kathmandu.
